WASEEM ZAK
A Dubai-based filmmaker and photographer specializing in visual storytelling. Over six years, I have developed a multi-faceted career in video production, focusing on commercial film, premium social content, and branded imagery. My portfolio includes collaborations with international agencies and creative directors, managing end-to-end technical workflows from cinematography through to advanced post-production and color science. My professional ethos is built upon producing authentic, high-impact visuals without artificiality. I emphasize technical rigor in lighting and composition to ensure every frame achieves true cinematic realism.
Travel has also had a big influence on the way I shoot. A lot of my personal work comes from being outdoors, travelling, hiking and documenting places as I experience them. That has helped me become more observant and has shaped the way I approach both personal and commercial projects.
Some of my travel work has been featured by Visit Dubai on its official Instagram platform, and I was also recognised at the Samsung AI Photowalk 2024.
I’m comfortable working on a project from start to finish, but I also enjoy collaborating with directors, creatives, photographers and other production teams when the project needs a bigger crew.
Right now, I’m based in Dubai and working across the UAE, while also open to projects in other countries.
